Fulling is a key process in leather tanning as it has the task of softening the leather.
\nIn fulling there is the use of a drum (dry) where it is possible to control temperature and humidity values; the leathers are inserted in the drum and are mechanically shaken by the rotary action so that the leather softens. It is important to know that chemicals can be added through this process to establish the desired effects.
\nThe drum prepared for this type of processing is in fact identified with the name <\/span>\u201cf<\/b><\/span>u<\/b><\/span>ll<\/b><\/span>ing<\/b><\/span> drum\u201d<\/b><\/span>.
\n<\/span>Fulling drums can be produced in OCTAGONAL or CYLINDRICAL shapes according to customer requirements.
\nOur fulling drum is internally made of stainless steel, with a special technology that allows the total recovery of the powder.
\nThe dust, transported by the suction force of an electric fan, passes through a filtering system and is collected in a container, thus allowing both an improvement of the final product and a considerable reduction of dust in the air and in the surrounding environment.
\nThe drum rotates on grease-lubricated roller bearings with V-belt drive by means of a grooved pulley on one side of the drum. The whole is assembled on a painted steel base, on which the gearmotor unit with brake and the electrical control panel are also mounted.
